Audible is a popular site for AudioBooks, and their files can be used on an iPod. I've never bought anything from there before, but I think you can purchase books directly from iTunes or from their website: http://www.audible.com/adbl/site/homepage/AnonHome.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes If you're looking for a free solution, you're probably not going to find any newer books available in Audiobook format. For public domain works, there is LibriVox, a website where volunteers read public domain works and upload them for others to download. http://librivox.org/about-librivox/
