  • I figure they do it only because of the misery heaped on them from society/culture and/or family. Maybe they hate themselves, though. Probably have to take it on a case by case basis. I for 1 think people are born homosexual. Noone would choose to be ostracized. What do you think?
  • Some might be just confused / bi-curious / or pretending when they think they'll gay but then they realize?
  • I think it’s a sin. Not for the gay person involved, but for the pig headed pastor. I’ve never seen this work and it didn’t work for me. Hate is never god’s will.
  • confused
  • Congrats....!
  • I think they are deluding themselves, or allowing themselves to be coerced by very bigoted people. Science tells us this is not possible - in either direction. While I have met literally hundreds of ex-"Ex-Gays," I have yet to meet a single person who "converted" their true orientation. Most people who claim to be "Ex-Gay" just stop having sex altogether, which isn't very healthy for anyone.
  • if you are gay you are gay. thats all there is too it.
  • i think they are forced to live with there gay selves but hate it. so they try not to be gay. simplay
  • I think they have deluded themselves into thinking it's possible. They may suppress the urge to act on it, but they are still going to be gay. They have simply let society get to them. i can understand why they would want to try, but no amount of bible thumping is going to make them not gay. Every gay guy who claims they were somehow converted that I have encountered is definitely still flaming and would screw a guy in a heartbeat
  • Someone has tried ? I wish them all the best.....
  • i think its just society making them to think that being gay is wrong (even though there's nothing wrong with it) and them wanting to "fit in" which is just a human instinct
  • I think people who try that have usually been mistreated and tormented into thinking something is wrong with them. They try to change their very nature in order to conform with a society that is inherently flawed in it’s views of sexuality. There is nothing wrong with being gay. It’s something you are simply born as. It doesn’t hurt anyone. I think it’s sad that other people have such a hard time accepting that not everyone has to be like them. There is so little love in the world today, it’s a shame that so many people have to try to crush what’s left. As my grandmother always said, ‘just think of how much more people could get done in their life times if they’d just mind their own business instead of everyone else’s.’
  • I wish them the best of luck, I met a lot people from gay to straight. They got married and have kids and very much happy! I have lots of Gay friends. I support them no matter what they decide to do with their lives. Whatever makes them happy.
  • I am a Christian.....(ok here come the comments) my view on everything is.... If you are gay then ok if you are straight then ok. I am not your judge nor should anyone else be your judge, If you live your life for you(or God or whatever you believe) then you live your life. Congrats on all accords do not hurt others do let yourself become hurt. Live life well. We as a people have no 'real' clue as to what awaits us in the end. From what I have read and understand of the Bible it says all 'sin' is the same(except one) So you lie it is the same as murder and theft(lying is theft in my book) So live life do not harm and screw everyone who judges you they are not God. :)
