I think I would not know one as well as I would like to admit. I know some who talk sweet are not all out to tighten the screws on people so to me there are two types of sweet talkers. The good type will be so with pretty much everyone around them where the bad ones need to focus and will often show their true colors. Not to be fooled you need to give them enough rope to hang themselves with because a bad sweet talker can not keep up.

They have everything & no job, or they try to emotionally black mail you into giving them your good stuff because they've never had anything nice before(but have gold rings on every finger or you could pay your house payment with the gold necklace they have around their neck) & telling you what a great friend you are or how you are the most important person in their life but they only talk sweet when they want you to do a favor for them.
