Our best deal turned out to be planned way in advance, during a downturn in the economy, similar to this one. We contacted a motel nearby and got half price rooms ($45 in 1982)because they were afraid the recession would keep people away. We then received a special air fare discount from the grocery store, for buying several hundred dollars of groceries, which we would have bought anyway. The final savings was through the Hubby's work which offered special family deals to all the parks for one low price. To get the best deals for your family, call the park direct, and ask for the very best plan they can offer you. Explain that you cannot attend unless they can give you the lowest offer.
