  • Why would you believe that dinosaurs are "better" than humans? If you believe that all creatures are of the creator, then why 'rank' one higher than the other? Does your representation of god have favorites? I am not being sarcastic, I am wondering where the logic of your question is.
  • Interesting question!!! This alone shoots down any prospect that intelligent design exists at all.How can one start out with one lie and build on that to create a new reality different than what evolution has proven to be fact.First of all mankind is a part of nature thus have to be a part of the evolutionary process, which has taken many millions of years.
  • Why doesn't God mention Polar Bears? Or every other animal that isn't mentioned by it's name. I am giving you my answer from a Biblical point of view. God gave us dominion over all animals in the beginning. So dinosaurs would of had as much power as a bunny rabbit back then. As sin entered humanity that all kinda changed and we are now susceptible to many species.
  • the word "dinosaur" wasn't a word until the 19th century. the word "dragon" appears in the Bible 35 times, as well as other descriptive words. dragon is what dinosaurs were called when man and dinosaur walked the earth together
    • mushroom
Funny, "dragon" is also what Chinese villagers call exposed dinosaur bones. Could it at all be possible that imaginations ran wild when humans first saw those ancient artifacts?
  • But Dinosaurs are indeed in the Bible. Behemoth has the following attributes according to Job 40:15-24 It “eats grass like an ox.” It “moves his tail like a cedar.” (In Hebrew, this literally reads, “he lets hang his tail like a cedar.”) Its “bones are like beams of bronze, His ribs like bars of iron.” “He is the first of the ways of God.” “He lies under the lotus trees, In a covert of reeds and marsh.” This a Brachiosourus.
  • Ain't wonderful the way the Bible can say anything that the reader wants it to? Check out all of those answers from the expert Bible interpreters. Man, if that doesn't show it for the sham it is, I don't know what does!
  • one, dinosaurs are not better. they're bigger but as another have commented, they're pea brained compared to us. two, i agree that bible does mention behemoth. three, those who believe in the bible are guided by faith. many of the things seen in this realm are not reality. if you want to find out what bible-believers are holding on to, try to read some articles on christianity. not to convert you but for the sake of knowledge
  • If "better" means "die out faster", then yes, indeed, "dinosaurs" were better. But seriously, the Bible does mention disnosaurs. The classic word for "dinosaur" is "dragon." "Dinosaur" is a made-up word of relatively recent coinage. "Dragons" are mentioned throughout Scripture.
  • Sorry about that. Clearly a "disnosaur" is a Walt Disney version of a dinosaur. I meant the real article.
  • interesting to note people do read the bible/ i thought this quesion would be a long line of scripture bashing.. kudos to you guys!
  • simple ... the Earth is only 6000 years old! and anything that came before that time simply did not exist, ask any Bible Thumper and they will tell you this with a straight face
  • Cause people create religions much earlier that they know dinosaurs...
  • The Bible doesn't mention a lot of things. I don't think it orangutans either. And if they were clearly better than us, they'd still be around. Nature has a way of weeding out the weaker species.
  • The same reason history doesn't tell us about aliens who allegedly "came to Earth" in eons gone by. It's outside its purview.
  • The Bible actually does mention dinosaurs. The Leviathan and Behemoth in the book of Job are dinosaurs. Leviathan is some kind of giant aquatic sea monster, while behemoth is a sauropod.
