Why'd I get downrated? Is this question not helpful? Thanks for the points guys! :)
-
Yes. I've been in it every year since I was 10 (I'm 18). In some ways I'm a little sick of it, but the music and the dances are so beautiful.
-
I've never seen it, but I've heard the music, and it is beautiful.
-

Yes, I've seen it performed live by several different companies and last Sunday, I saw the San Francisco Ballet performance on PBS, it was absolutely mangnificent!
-
Many times....as a child it was a family tradition to go to see this ballet during the Christmas holidays. I saw some spectacular productions..and some not so good. But, it is always magical!
-
Barf barf barf. It's a fluff piece performed as an excuse to put everyone's little untalented kid on the stage at one time.

Yeah and my seeing the Nutcracker story is better than most. In Dec. of 1993 my now former in-laws and my now ex husband and I went to see the Nutcracker in wash. DC. Going into the theater there was lots of security and no explanation why. After being seated President and Mrs. Clinton entered the theater, and got a standing ovation. Apparently Chelsea had a small part in the show! The Clintons were most gracious, and Chelsea was quite lovely. Overall, very unexpected!

yes, once. i loved it. i saw mikhail baryshnikov with all my college buddies performing at eastman theater in new york ~ it was jawdroppingly beautiful. i remember there was one GIANT gravity-defying leap he made across the stage where it seemed time stopped and he was suspended in air ~ unbelievable!!!!

Yes, I've seen the Boston Ballet production at least 4 times in my life, possibly as many as 6. I was sad and lucky to be in attendance at their last ever Nutcracker performance at the Wang Theater a few years ago. Another tradition bites the dust. :(
-
Yes. It's beautiful. It was a yearly tradition with just my grandmother and I. At the San Franciso Ballet. I'll never forget the magic.
-
Yeah, loads of times. My mum plays cello in the ballet orchestra, so ever since I was little i would get dragged a long to sit at her feet during the performances. I could see the stage from there, so I guess that counted. I've also seen it from the audience many times, because she gets free tickets.
-
Yes, many times.
-
Yes, I have.I went with my mom, her boyfriend, his daughter, and my brother. It was nice except I fell asleep during one of the dances...

I saw it once, on stage, and I really like most ballets, but along about the time all the dolls/toys did the dances from their own countries, I was climbing the wall!! thought it would never end....but the costumes, etc., were nice....and having all those little kids onstage is nice - for the parents - but no one else!! but they have to get their 'dance experience' (LOL) somewhere!! but why does it have to be on my dollar?????????
-
Yes, many years ago.
-
I've seen it and danced it way too many times!
-
Yes, many times, usually during the winter holidays. It is excellent when performed by professional ballet troupes, and will provide both children and adults a memorable, magical experience.
