Why do we put up with so many commercial interruptions towards the end of a television movie? A the end of the movie; five minutes or more of commercials followed by three minutes or so, of the movie.

The thought is this the best part / where they have got your attention. Your less likely to leave the set than for a beer or restroom break; least you miss the end. Best chance for larger number of viewers is the idea. On the other hand if the show was already a best many viewers have already tuned out. A guessing game to a certian extent.
