Do you think we'd get better quality questions on here if points were awarded like on Yahoo answers? plus points for answers, minus points for questions - after all it IS called answer bag, not question bag.

If this site starts to be like Yahoo Answers I'm gone! Look at Y/A They have questions just as stupid! Like Are my jeans too tight? and How to make coffee! Go look you will see! People make new accounts just to ask such questions! Please Please never suggest AB act like YA!

On Yahoo! Answers, each time a user posts a question, he or she loses five points. Has that encouraged the production of quality questions there? Definitely not! How many times had I seen the question: "What is your zodiac sign?" during my stay there? Almost everyday. I have yet to see that happening on AB. And if that happens, the question would eventually be flagged as a duplicate. I'm happy with the features here on AB.

Yahoo answers works on the principle that all questions are stupid questions. Answerbag knows better.

The reason some are here, is because they didnt like Yahoo, so I think your ideal will not work.

A lot of folks are here because Yahoo Answers is horrible! There is no customer service, and it's overrun with trolls who get people suspended with false abuse reports. Plus, you lose points for posting questions on Y/A. You can't comment, post images or videos. And questions expire after a few days so people post the same, ridiculous questions over and over. AB is MUCH better!
