Help answer this question below.

If a guy says that he doesn't want to be with you because he can't handle a long distance relationship, is that a lie? I would think that if someone liked you, they would be with you regardless.

    yes, some people cant really stand long distance relations.

    i believe him... at least he is being honest and wants to hurt you as little as possible.. it would be worse having the relationship and ending up like me (depressed and lonely after finding out that 8 months of relationship was mainly just lies and cheating when we were apart)

    Whether he's telling you the truth or not doesn't really matter since the meaning behind the words are the same, he's not interested in being in a relationship. Be kind to yourself and let it go.

    None of us can read his mind or see into his heart, so we don't know whether it is a lie or not. But, there are many people who don't like long-distance relationships. They're very difficult for some people.
