  • You're not addicted to procrastination, you're addicted to some feeling that gets disturbed by taking care of your assigned duties. So, for example, perhaps you don't like doing homework... fair enough, it's unpleasant. So, instead, you're doing something pleasant all week long. THAT is what you're addicted to. Switching to do homework would interrupt the stream of pleasure, and the addiction says "no". If you can recognize the specifics of your addiction (exactly what feelings are you addicted to?), and then see that this addiction turns you into a puppet with no control over your own actions, it may provide a bit of incentive to deal with the problem. It's fine to like pleasant activities more than unpleasant ones, of course -- but if you can't choose when and where for each thing, you really don't have a life of your own. Nobody is in charge.
