This one i don't know, perhaps because they thought it (as a play) deserved to be made? Or maybe they didn't have anything else to make? I don't know. There is another version of it that was made to raise awareness and money for mental health charities that work to avoid events such as those at V.Tech, occuring again. There is also an argument for showing the writings for educational purposes as they arguably offer insight into the workings of Cho Seung-Hui's mind.
