Help answer this question below.

I have a 2001 Grand AM, 80,000 miles. 2 wks.ago my TRAC OFF light came on when I was backing out of space. It did this for 1 wk. Last wk it didnt come on at all. This a.m. I went to work, drove to the 1st stp sign car died. It will start but then dies.

    sounds like 2 different problems. the trac off could be a wheel speed sensor or ive seen the trac on/off switches fail. if the car was running fine and did not have a hard start symptom its likely that its a security problem. if you turn the key on with ignition off check to see if the security light stays on longer than 3 seconds. if it stays on there is probably a security system problem.
