  • Probably in Bad Boys2 there are some pretty good chase scenes in that movie!
  • Steve McQueen in "Bullet" driving that badass Mustang chasing the black Charger R/T
  • the terminator 1..lol you would be so doomed if arnie was in a semi after you like that ..lol
  • Besides "Bullet," the long chase scene under the bridge or ?? in "The French Connection"(1971) with Hackman as "Popeye" Doyle driving was really something. The other great one was recently when Matt Damon was eluding people in "The Bourne Identity." THAT was some chase in what I believe was a Mini (Austin) Cooper. They are low to the ground and "peppy" but there was obviously a very experienced stunt driver doing that chase scene!
  • matrix.. trinity's bike stunt double there is awesome to think that its a girl too ;D and its real though they practice it a lot :p
  • gone in 60 seconds
  • I remember the chase scene in Ronin (Robert de Niro, Jean Reno) being particularly memorable.
  • The Mini scene in the first Bourne film
  • The Italian Job.
  • Italian Job, no question
  • There is a great car chase scene in "The Island". It was quite impressive. A $600,000 camera was destroyed while filming parts of the car chase scenes.
  • The original Gone in 60 Seconds starring H.B. Halicki. In the original 1974 movie Halicki not only produced the movie himself, but also drove the Mach I Mustang "Eleanor" through the entire 40 minute chase scene. A total of 93 vehicles were destroyed making the movie, many of them rare classic muscle cars. Absolutely no special effects were used during the filming. Every metal and glass splinter is real, and no sound effects were added (that I know of). One single Mach I Mustang was used for the entire chase scene. There was one actual unplanned accident in the film that was left in the final cut. When Halicki accidently struck one vehichle, then spun around backward and hit a light pole breaking it off, it took him off guard but he quickly put the car in gear and continued the chase. Filming never stopped. I just watched it last night, and without a doubt, it is the best movie chase scene I have ever seen. The movie itself could have been better acted and produced in other ways, but as far as car chase scenes it is hands down, unparalleled. Halicki died in 1989 at 49(?) years of age. My wife just bought me the 25th anniversary edition of the movie on DVD, and I watched it last night. During the credts at the end they include a scene (not from the movie) of him tearing around a dirt patch with his wife in the passenger seat in Eleanor. The car was still drivable after the filming was completed! If you are a car chase enthusiast, you haven't lived until you have seen the original Gone in Sixty Seconds. In my opinion, it beats The French Connection's chase scene (though on the whole, The French Connection is certainly a better movie). It's better than all other chase scenes simply due to the fact that (other than a roll cage installed in the Mustang) it relies solely on driving skill, tough built cars, and un-retouched filming. It's the only truly WSIYWG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) chase scene of its caliber I have ever seen. Nobody would ever dare to (or, for that matter, be allowed to) do what Halicki did these days. At least, not with their own money.
  • Its got to be the old classic, Bullit, Steve McQueen..
  • Blues Brothers (1980)
  • RONIN! That chase scene near the end is like 10 minutes long and totally amazing...all real driving, no computer aided scenes there.
