For someone like me who is a chronic nail biter, it was worth it to be able to stop biting my nails (because you can't bite the acrylic ones). It also helped because my cuticles and fingers were shredding around the nail, and the manicure I was given at the time the nails were put on helped clear that up.
And the way I look at it is this - it costs about $30 to have the set done in the first place, and then about $20 every 2 weeks to get them filled. So besides the initial expenditure to get them on, it works out to about $10/week. For that $10 a week I get about 45 minutes of peace, pampering, and relaxation while someone does my nails. And when it's over, I have pretty nails that my husband likes, that I like, and that make me feel good about myself. It's a nice trade-off.
i think it is stupid :)

You're reading Do you think it's worth the money to go continuously and get fake nails put on at a salon? I did it once and never again. How often is too much? Is it really worth it, especially when money is so tight?
