the banana survival theory. in tropical countries you always have bananas to eat and need not to worry about tomorrow. so the inhabitants seem more lazy. in the cold world where you need to save the food in the six summer months to survive the long winters the people work harder ( not because they want to but they have to ) so the fact there is bananas available all the year round has a big impact on the social behavior of the groups .
