Help answer this question below.

Getting off methadone: How can I do it with the least amount of sickness? I suffer from horrendous fibormyalgia flare ups quite often. I take 40-60 mgs of methadone a day and want off. In patient isn't an option and really, either is a doctor's care.

    Suboxone... I'm on suboxone and I've been on it for about 6 months now. It's very easy to detox from, there's little to no withdrawal if you do it properly. You can ween off for 2 weeks and you should be fine. Most Suboxone programs have an IOP (intensive outpatient program) where you can detox within one month. The medication is taken underneath the tongue, but you have to me in mild to moderate withdrawal in order to start the process. I am in a Suboxone Maintenance program. It's a miracle drug. And it's also great for pain management.
