I HAVE A CHEVY 350 ROCKER ENGINE WITH CAM ANDD 750 CFM CARB. IT RUNS FINE AT IDLE BUT BACKFIRES THROUGH THE CARB BETWEEN 2500 AND 3500 RPMS. I'VE REPLACED THE WIRES W/ 8.5MM SUPER CONDUCTOR WIRES AND NEW SPARK PLUGES AND THE PROBLEM CONTINUES.

use a vacum gague to check engine vacum, it will tell you if you have timming problems or if it is a weak or broken valve spring or a burnt lobe on the camshaft. If you have an older holley carb it could be a bad power valve in the carb. Basic troubleshooting will tell you whats wrong. Good luck!
