The question reminded me of two quotes from Mother Teresa of Calcutta in reference to judging other people: "If you judge people, you have no time to love them." "There should be less talk; a preaching point is not a meeting point. What do you do then? Take a broom and clean someone's house."

In Spanish we have a saying "No mires la paja en el ojo ajeno, si no ves la viga en el tuyo", it makes reference to the fact that we usually overlook our own defects, but we are well aware of them in others.
