  • Being mean is not caused by ones genes. One can only assume that it is taught. Why is it taught? Probably because they were taught badly.
  • being mean is not really an inborn attitude, it is develop through how the people around u raised u or how these people treat and molded u, most of the times its the surrounding that makes one person mean... though each of us has really a bad side but not actually mean that we are "mean"
  • With very rare exception, definitely trained by parents/guardians/role models who try to vicariously satisfy their own ignorant prejudices. Bummer.
  • I am quite mean if you approach me wrongly. I would say am trained to stand up for myself, I suppose.
  • A person that seems to be "mean" is usually one that has been challenged and put on the defensive. The sad truth is that most people don't think at all. The reality is that most people simply adopt the opinions of other people and have no idea about any form of logical basis for their opinions. Your choice of religious belief is usually not based on anything more than claiming to believe whatever your parents happened to believe, so your religious belief is probably only by accident of birth.
