$25 million is totally excessive. no one is worth that much. i find the pay inequity in the corporate world utterly revolting. :(

- its the same old song & dance routine. so sad. i worked on a couple shareholder resolutions fighting pay inequity and golden parachutes back in the mid 90s. we didnt get the vote we needed at the shareholder meetings, but it was large enough to send a strong message to management. its really tough to get corporate piggies to change their greedy ways. theyre incorrigible.

They sit all day in their comfortable, air-conditioned offices. So yeah, I think it's disgusting. Half of their salaries should instead be given to people who risk their lives protecting others, like soldiers, cops and firefighters.

I'm much more disgusted with the money professional athletes are paid.

I commonly refer to all of them as "overpaid children".

Why? Simply because they get that outrageous money whether the team wins or loses.

AND when they win a world championship, they're paid much more money.

No, according to my research bank managers average less than $l50,000 a year, which is high, but not massive.

Perhaps you are thinking of the million upon millions that CEO's of major corporations earn. That is disgusting.

Finance -- insurance, banking, and other money changers -- had risen from an ordinary level around 15%-20% of our economy decades ago to...

40% !!

Of course, that means far too many Americans were busy just moving money around in circles.

Not a good way to keep your national economy healthy.

The gigantic wages are the result of the financial elite raking in profits for so many years, and feeling they were the best of the American economy.

But ultimately this was all a huge bubble of credit and debt, and it is crashing down, and that will take years.

Whay are you mad at them? Why not people like Braney Frank, Christopher Dodd, and Chuck Schumer who caused this fiancial mess, and take money like this from the pockets of others in order to spend it as they choose. Did you ever wonder how these people have mansions, properties, and lots of money on $100,000 annual salery? While your amd at people who actually earn the money, the people who do nothing and don't even pay their taxes take
what they think is their fair share. If you or I did this, we would go to jail. The focus should be on congress and not AIG. After all they caused the financial mess in the first place.

No, not at all. The real anger should be place to the congress for voting for a bill that specifically added the bonus to the legislation and the president for authorizing the payment of the bonus. They would never have received it if there was no bailout. In addition, the bonus is a percentage of sale. These people simply sold/traded enough financial products to earn the huge bonus. Instead of getting mad at them, learn how to join their profession.
