  • I think the best models are not so thin they look like (or do) suffer from anorexia. I would eat a healthy balanced diet. :)

  • I very briefly modeled. We're talking like a week or something like that. Being naturally tall and slender (6 feet tall, 140 or so pounds), I figured I'd be ok keeping on my normal diet and working. Not so - I was told I weighed too much!! So I would imagine that yes, there is a lot of starvation and anorexia running rampant in the modeling industry - lots of girls eating "rabbit food" diets. It's so sad.

  • Last summer I lived on Coffee and Cigarettes for a month or two and I literally lost over 15 pounds which is a lot for me because I am 5"7 1/2 - 5"8 and my set point is about 130 and I was fluctuating up and down between 110 and 115. My figure was perfected but my insides were dieing. I was lost. Now I live on water, herbal teas, fruits and veggies, a little meat, and fiber. I don't drink coffee or smoke anymore. My lifestyle is completely different. I am healthy. You don't need to starve yourself to stay thin or loose weight.
  • I think a lot of them turn to coke to lose weight... if you have a daughter who is on the tall side and wants to model tell them to stay away. It is a sick industry full of sick people who put their looks before their health.

  • I'm not a model but I find that lovesickness is the best thing to eat when trying to loose weight. Also don't eat at night.
  • First, most models are genetically thin, I am a model, however I don't have the genes that prove to me i am, when i was young, i had a body, pear shaped, but i realized that if you eat well and exercise well, it'll keep you in good shape. Mornings I eat - A large banana, 8 almonds, celery/carrots/grapes, a hot cup of tea OR - 1 serving of oatmeal, cornflake (with milk) topped with berries and nuts (almonds, walnuts) *it is gorgeous!!!!* Lunch: - A lovely nacose tuna salad with lemon water and 2 slices of bread (whole wheat) OR - Grilled tuna and brown rice Dinner: - A light salmon (250g) grill seasoned with lemon and a green salad OR - Chicken grill (250g)and lemon grass salad Snacks: - Fruits - (grapes, grapefruits, kiwis, plums, peached, bananas, oranges, apples) - Vegetables -( carrots, celery, tomatoes, cucumbers) - Chocoaltes, sweets - Crackers and biscuits I adjust what i eat on the day, when Iv had a heavy lunch like chicken and rice, ill have a nice light dinner or salad and salmon. TIPS - Make sure to drink lots of water, (i drink around 2 liters a day) its good for filling and your skin will feel packed. - DO NOT have midnight feats, if you find that you are up in the night, hungry, REMEMBER to eat more in the day. - LISTEN to your self, are you hungry? are you full? - eat SLOWLY and TASTE your food - chew GUM if you have cravings but you are full - eat the most at lunch, a light dinner, OR - eat less at lunch and full at dinner - Eat to your NEEDS. not to yoru WANTS. I hope iv helped, Im 116 pounds and 5 foot 83 btw, and dont forget the exercise, I try run around twice a week, 3km at -20minuets i do agree that some models barf out there fillings and eat nothing, to become a model, but i dont think its right
  • Mostly fruit and vegetables, and lots of protein shakes. Their thinness is also a result of exercise.

  • I think there are some that eat normally, I've met alot of people who stay super skinny no matter what. Then there are some who eat very restricted low carb like just vegetables and some meat, then there are some that starve barely eating at all or vomiting if they do. I'm convinced celebritys have access to some kind of weight loss pill that is not known to the public. So many of them have gotten super skinny all of a sudden. Even the ones that were thin to begin with. It's not a coincidence and they ALL didn't JUST learn about diet and exercise. If anyone knows what they're taking please let me know ;)
