  • There may be a few reasons to that, foodcourt. check if the computer on which you are playing ur "burned" DVD has appropriate video codecs to play the data inside of it. If it plays on your computer, that itself indicates that the data is 100% burnt onto it. Also, some original DVDs have a special layer on them to prevent piracy or illegal copying of the content within it.
  • how older is your other computer? DVD+R release 5 years after DVD-R, very possible your other computer can only play DVD-R disc.
