Qin Shi Huang was the first emperor of China. 'Cin' is the Persian word for his surname Qin. Marco Polo popularised the word 'Cin' in Italy. In Europe, 'Cina' became a popular name for China, and that is how we get the name China.

    No.
China was first used to refer to the first imperial dynasty,Qin dynasty, which traded with the Persians which then traded with the European countries.

Qin was pronounced Chin or Cin by the Persians. The name was derived from the name of the state that Qin Shi Huang were born to.And he finally led the state conquering all other states in China during the Warring States period.

Note that Qin Shi Huang did not have his surname Qin.His surname was Ying. And his full name was Ying Zheng.Qin Shi Huang was his title for being the First imperialism emperor.
