Check the electrical system. sounds like your bat. is shallow charged, and needs time to build Amp Hours. could be a weak cell, or a weak generator/altenater , voltage regulator and is taking a while to refill the charge and due to the cold, or slow to suck electrons off the lead plates.

1997s10 goes into 4hi ok but i have to put it in reverse to get it into 2hi replaced the servo,dash switch,transfercase accuatorswitch,fluid

You're reading I have a 1995 chevy S10 blazer and when its cold outside It starts but If I cut it off, I have to wait an hour to an hour and a half for it to re-start. Why is that?
