Has any one read the book twilight? and seen the movie? should i take time to read the book before seeing the movie?

my friend read the book then watched the movie...she said the book was better and she didnt like the movie

ive read the book before i watched the movie.....at first i was a bit taken back...not because i didnt like it....but because i pictured it different way..... at first i thought i didnt like it....but then i became obsessed! seriously! i was dreaming about it!!! (i no ..im sad) so i thought id give it another chance..... i went to see it again and i loved every minute of it!!! of course its natural for the book to be better than the film.... so u might be a little dissapointed...... if u are... take my advice and watch it again... u might be in for a surprise! but i would totally read the book first..because they left quite alot out in the film.... but i guess they had to because if they put all of the emotion in that was in the book then the film would last for 4hours!

I saw the movie then read the book... i kinda liked reading it that way coz then i could imagine all the charectors that way...

Definitely read the book first! It has a lot more to it than the movie does, plus it's best to imagine the characters the way you create them in your mind rather than use the actors to picture it. It's much less fun and rewarding that way.

I personally have not seen the movie yet but everyone I know who has seen it says it is really good. However, When I have seen movies based on books I have found that seeing the movie first is better because they are never as good as the book and the best one I can use as an example is Eregon! That movie was way off the book.
