How long does it take for Boeing to build a 747. And how much does it cost them?

    It can take as little as 4 days to assemble a B747 providing all the necessary parts (which are manufactured in a variety of locations across the globe) are on hand. From the Boeing Company website:

    "Production rates vary with market activity, but have been as high as seven per month for the 747..."

    How much does it cost them? We will never know the answer to that question! Only their retail figures are for public consumption. That cost varies depending on the model from $216-283.5 million
