I just did it now. Apparently:

Stability results were low which suggests you are very worrying, insecure, emotional, and anxious.

Orderliness results were low which suggests you are overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense too often of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.

Extraversion results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.

craves attention, messy, open, rash, irritable, likes large parties, low self control, weird, fragile, does not like to be alone, emotionally sensitive, worrying, depressed, heart over mind, does not respect authority, dependent, not rule conscious, not good at saving money, more interested in relationships than intellectual pursuits, likes to fit in, very social, frequently second guesses self, phobic, suspicious, not careful, outgoing, vain, compassionate, aggressive, likes to make fun, hates to lose

Is it just me, or does some of that go against itself?

Yes. I took the MMPI when I was younger. My parents and school administrators thought I was being turning evil or something when they found books I took out from the library on Wicca. They wanted to find out if I was going to perform animal sacrifices, I think. LOL

It actually was a pretty interesting test. The results were pretty informative as well. I think it got the gist of me and I can see now later in life things that it illustrated about my personality.

I have taken the MMPI as well as an Enneagram and also a Myers-Briggs test over time. Part was for fun (a family member gave me one) and the rest was to prove to my partner I was not truly the nut case she thought I was. (I was exonerated).

    I just took a 72 question test.
(Sorry if the answer's a little longwinded, you don't have to read it all if you don't want to.)

The results came out with me as an INFP type "(Introverted-89% Intuitive-50% Feeling-25%Perceiving-56%)

    Said I'm a
    "very expressed introvert

    moderately expressed intuitive personality

    moderately expressed feeling personality

    moderately expressed perceiving personality."

And gave two descrptive articles from two psychologists, (one of them called me a "Healer Idealist." so I'm pretty convinced that one's a total crock of s***.)

The other one seems pretty spot on, though.

    Introverted Feeling
INFPs live primarily in a rich inner world of introverted Feeling. Being inward-turning, the natural attraction is away from world and toward essence and ideal. This introversion of dominant Feeling, receiving its data from extraverted intuition, must be the source of the quixotic nature of these usually gentle beings. Feeling is caught in the approach-avoidance bind between concern both for people and for All Creatures Great and Small, and a psycho-magnetic repulsion from the same. The "object," be it homo sapiens or a mere representation of an organism, is valued only to the degree that the object contains some measure of the inner Essence or greater Good. Doing a good deed, for example, may provide intrinsic satisfaction which is only secondary to the greater good of striking a blow against Man's Inhumanity to Mankind.

    Extraverted iNtuition
Extraverted intuition faces outward, greeting the world on behalf of Feeling. What the observer usually sees is creativity with implied good will. Intuition spawns this type's philosophical bent and strengthens pattern perception. It combines as auxiliary with introverted Feeling and gives rise to unusual skill in both character development and fluency with language--a sound basis for the development of literary facility. If INTPs aspire to word mechanics, INFPs would be verbal artists.

    Introverted Sensing
Sensing is introverted and often invisible. This stealth function in the third position gives INFPs a natural inclination toward absent- mindedness and other-worldliness, however, Feeling's strong people awareness provides a balancing, mitigating effect. This introverted Sensing is somewhat categorical, a subdued version of SJ sensing. In the third position, however, it is easily overridden by the stronger functions.

    Extraverted Thinking
The INFP may turn to inferior extraverted Thinking for help in focusing on externals and for closure. INFPs can even masquerade in their ESTJ business suit, but not without expending considerable energy. The inferior, problematic nature of Extraverted Thinking is its lack of context and proportion. Single impersonal facts may loom large or attain higher priority than more salient principles which are all but overlooked. "

-It seems pretty accurate, and later on in the article, it compared me to Calvin from 'Calvin and Hobbes', and I always have thought I was alot like that guy.

On the Ennegram test helpfulness was my highest, followed by a tie with adventureousness, and calmness

On the Jung test I was an ESFP

ESFP - "Entertainer". Radiates attractive warmth and optimism. Smooth, witty, charming, clever. Fun to be with. Very generous. 8.5% of the total population.

I found the test the others were taking, so here are my results from that:

Stability results were medium which suggests you are moderately relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Orderliness results were moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.

Extraversion results were very low which suggests you are extremely reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.

    trait snapshot:

does not make friends easily, secretive, introverted, reclusive, observer, dislikes leadership, somewhat socially awkward, does not like to stand out, dislikes large parties, values solitude, solitary, avoidant, ambivalent about fitting in, not dominant, unassertive, suspicious, prudent, unadventurous, worrying, weird, intellectual, frequently second guesses self

    ----------------------------

Could be somewhat correct... but a bit extreme, I think. I do make friends easily, but I would not consider myself to be "improvised" or "fun seeking" at the expense of other things. Otherwise, it does portray an extreme version of myself, I suppose.

I did the quick Ennegram test:

Stability results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic. [Most of the time! :) -ed]

Orderliness results were moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment. [I would say that I am overly flexible at the expense of myself, not my work-ethic. -ed]

Extraversion results were moderately low which suggests you are reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive. [Yes, until I really get to know someone... then that all changes. ;) -ed]

I guess I should share, since I asked you all to! :)

On the Myers-Briggs, I am an INFP. Described as: quiet, reserved, and kind; deeply passionate, sensitive, and easily hurt; loving and dedicated to those close to them; creative, original and imaginative; curious and flexible in small matters; nonconforming.

On the Enneagram, I'm a 4w5: Healthy side of this wing brings a withdrawn, complex creativity. May be somewhat intellectual but have exceptional depth of feeling and insight. Very much their own person; original and idiosyncratic. Have a spiritual and aesthetic openness. Will find multiple levels of meaning to most events. May have a strong need and ability to pour themselves into artistic creations. Loners; can seem enigmatic and hard to read. Externally reserved and internally resonant. When they open up it can be sudden and total. When entranced or defensive, Fours with a 5 wing can easily feel alienated and depressed. Many have a sense of not belonging, of being from another planet. Can get lost in their own process, drown in their own ocean. Whiny - tend to ruminate and relive past experience. Prone to the emotion of shame. Air of sullen, withdrawn disappointment. May live within a private mythology of pain and loss. Can get deeply morbid and fall in love with death.

I took them when I started seeing a therapist, and was scocked at how accurately they described me. The insight they provided continue to help me understand myself.

I've taken the Myers-Briggs and I am an ENTJ. On shorter versions I have scored ENFJ and ENTP, but on the longest version I've taken I scored ENTJ.

I took the Myers-Briggs like 5 times and ALWAYS get ENFP. I'm insanely Feeling and 100% Perceiving. I love being an ENFP. It's fun. Although if I'm alone very often it gets pretty dang boring and drives me nuts! But yeah, the test described me pretty well, cause I DO happen to get excited about one thing and get all up in it, and then all the sudden just drop it... which is prolly what I'm right in the middle of doing with Answerbag right now, hahaha. I give it another month tops!

I love the Myers-Briggs and like to think of it as the foundation of who people are, although there's a WHOLE lot more to who people are than just their foundation! There should be another test to figure out the rest of the stuff...

Yes. I believe that those are some of the few that are worth being taken seriously. I took the Myers-Brigg test and was not confused by the outcome. INTJ describes me, very accurately.

I also took the Enneagram test, years ago. But I've forgotten what type I am. I think, I should take it again. I've changed quite a bit.

    ...Type 5 (four years ago, I think I scored a type 7)
