I cosigned on my, now exwife, car loan. She started filing bankruptcy. She told the bank and two days later, they repoed her car. Now they are requesting the balance and they cancelled my banking online access. Aren't I protected under cosigner stay

    When you cosigned you agreed to pay for the car no matter what happens to the first person. They can come after you for payment.

    Guess what a co-sucker...errr...signer is for? If the one person defaults, the other one is responsible! And you can rest assured that they will do everything within their power to make sure you pay what's owed them
