No he really died from peritonitis caused ny appendicitis

Houdini stated that he could withstand a punch in the stomach from anyone. It is believed that given prier warning, he could flex his stomach muscles and take the hit. However a young fan asked the question and swung at him at the same time. Although at the time Houdini was winded, the blow was far more serious then at first though. In fact his appendix burst. In addition, Houdini had been in poor health for some time, with his traveling show and the stunts he performed demanding so much strength, energy and time. Houdini's doctor told him it was his appendix, but Houdini continued his show that night but collapsed half way through it He died on October 31, 1926.

no my teacher told me that a American football player punched him in the gut and burst his appendix, then he got punched in the gut again and then it got serious which he had done a trick and died in it but i think it was thew Chinese water trick

He actually died from a ruptured appendix, which was caused by a blow to the stomach some time earlier. Stupidly, he went on with the water torture trick, and died.
