Why is there any debate as to whether Obama is a citizen or not? Wasn't he born in America?

    There were two law suits against Pres. elect Obama regarding a "forged" birth certificate. The issue reached the Supreme Court they took their time and requested all Obama's birth documents from the Hawaiian authorities.

    About a week ago the Supreme Court ruled that both lawsuits have no grounds and have dismissed them, this result is in favor of Barack Obama as the Supreme Court has found his documents to be in order, that he is a US born and fit to assume the presidency according to the Constitution.

    He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii according to his birth certificate and upheld by the Supreme Court the highest Court in the land. There should be no more questions asked about his birth certificate. However, like you say there are sore losers who just can't get over the fact that he won and they will be asking from now on. You, on the other hand, are a sensible and intelligent person. Unfortunately, not everyone else is.

    There are ppl out there who are afraid of change.. They View our new pres. as a threat to their stale way of life.. They try to create lies out of facts.. Now as for where Obama was born in Hawaii.. I don't care... For the Facts are His mother is American.. and if he was born on foreign land he would still be a American just like every military child born on foreign soil... If the ppl trying to say he was born else where makes him less American then are they saying our soldiers children are less American just because they are born on Foreign Soil??

    Some claim that he was born in Kenya, not in Hawaii the United States as the president-elect claims. The U.S. Constitution requires that a president be a NATURAL born citizen.

    I personally didn't vote for Mr. Obama but, truth be told, however, it's a move being made by a handful of poor losers who can't "get over it, already". We lost, he won...and I wish him well on a long and hard road he is facing.

    Yes, he was born in America....in Honolulu, Hawaii. Those who oppose Obama came up with a long laundry list of bogus nonsense that they used as propaganda to try to keep people from voting for him. I find it so juvenile and ridiculous. Just from the people I've met or talked to personally that rattle off all the b.s. (i.e., he's a "Muslim terrorist," not a U.S. citizen, a communist/racist/Marxist/socialist, or a "baby-killer" because he supports a woman's choice...but, like I do..in the case of rape, incest or life endangerment), I think the real reason for most of the opposition is race. I know for a fact that a lot of people who keep insisting he's a "Muslim terrorist" or not a citizen, that they are racists.
    Look, if you are a Republican and oppose his political views, you didn't vote for him. Democrats voted for him. Most people are far too intelligent to fall for the right-wing propaganda machine. And a lot still keep going on about all this...I suppose because they are pissed that he won. Well, now they know how Democrats have felt for the last 8 years. No matter who wins an election, there will be those who will be upset because their candidate didn't win. That's Democracy.
