Well I am not sure what happens to the belongings, but pretty sure when cars go unclaimed they end up being auction off within a years time. At least that is how it goes at our local impound lot. And sure if anything worth anything in the car would be auction off as well or thrown away

Intersting question; you never got a summons to court about it? You never got a fine or anything? That car's long gone.

Car will be sold at auction. At first notice, you should have collected your personal belongings from the auto. These personal belongings will either be destroyed or also sold at auction. When you snooze.....you lose.

they will hold it 60 - 90 days. If unclaimed, apply for a storage lien and sell the car. Any interesting stuff in it will be cleaned before sale, junk will be left. New owner typically gets a real good deal.
