Your tray is more than likely out of alignment. A few things you might try: 1.) Try re-orienting your PS2, Sometimes, the tray might go in while the console is at an angle, or something strange like that. 2.) Gently (yet forcefully enough) force the tray back and forth to get it back into alignment. You may need to shut off the console to do this. 3.) This is a last resort method. Open your PS2 (there are many guides about this on the web. You have to make sure that you find the instructions for your PS2 model number, which is located on the back of your console starting with "SCPH-") The disc tray is on a hinge, that you will be able to lift to one side. There is a white circular disc with grooves on it. There are also opposite grooves on the bottom of the disc tray. You will need to get those two to align. Your console will then be able to function normally. Hope this helps!
