    In my opinion THE holocaust is more widely recognized throughout history (excluding those individuals who do noy believe it happened) as it is described: "The systematic genocide of the Jews during World War II."

    It may be more politically correct to just write Holocausts: The systematic genocide of ______.

    Well they missed Soviet POW's, the disabled, homosexuals, various Poles and Romani. It depends on the scholar, I would think. I'm sure some use the term Holocaust only to refer to the specific slaughter of Jews, and some use it for the entire Nazi race-purification massacre.
