I like all animals. I always considered myself a dog person, but I believe it would be cruel to have one in a small apartment within an urban environment while I may have to travel at a moment's notice for 3 days at a time. A cat is perfect for this situation and, although I'd never had one before, Buddy the Cat is really cool. He's my bud.

I like cats. We had a tom cat who actually was just like a watch"dog". He would walk right up to stray dogs, no matter how big they were, and get in their faces and scare them away! But, he was also madly in love with our dog! He was great.

I never disliked them but was not particularly drawn to them either..............until I saw this little tiny runt kitten being picked on, one eye would not open, she was a mess. Had to take her home and she has been a delight.
Since I've always been more of a dog person it was quite an experience. I leashed trained her, taught her to fetch, although she has grown out of fetching. Taught her to cover up her food bowl when she is through.
Love her a lot. Like all pets she has some unique traits
that are funny. My roommate has two cats so it has been fun learning their common ways to communicate.

We used to have a white cat that was better than having a dog.It would fetch, beg, play dead,and come when called.you could play hide and seek with it just say hide and it would run off and hide till you found it.

I totally love cats and just last week i bought a gorgeous champagne colored part persian from the local animal refuge. I named him Shan and he will be loved and cared for by me for as long as he wishes to be :)

Yes, I love all animals, ayear ago I would have said I'm more of a dog person, but after taking home a kitten fromm the animal shelter where I volunteer, I have a lot more time and respect for their individuality. Beans is a red tabby who was found in the cheetah enclosure at the local zoo, he was tiny and hissy and malnourished. After three days he finally came to me voluntarily, now he is the funniest most affectionate cat I"ve ever had. I also have Merlin, a 9yr old russian blue who i got from an RSPCA when he was 18 mths old, he's lord of the manor. Only thing I don't like about cats is if they pee or poo where it isn't warranted, growing up in a house that smelt of cat pee was gross!

A lot, but I'm also a little afraid of them. Now, I'm used to breaking up dog fights when they happen in dog parks and I rarely get a bite or scratch from that, but when cats are angry and their claws are flying everywhere...I'd rather not be near them.
When I was younger I'd always be the one to take them in, so it's not like I don't have experience. And add that onto vet tech school and the contact we have there with all kinds of behavior. I just still feel uncomfortable around them when they're upset like that. Otherwise I'm great with them, just allergic :-/
So I love them, like them...a lot, but will leave the angry ones up to someone else :p Give 'em to me when they're NICE!! :D lol
