  • It always amazes me the things people come up with the get out of a speeding ticket. You were speeding, How the hell can anything the cop do be entrapment. Stop speeding and you wont have to worry about the police.
  • No, it is not entrapment. A cop can, and often will, have all his lights off for the sole purpose of avoiding detection. Entrapment is where the cop puts the idea in your head to commit the crime. The cop did not put the idea in your head to speed by not turning on his lights.
  • There is nothing in Ohio law that says that you have to have your lights on when running radar. The police can hide behind signs, cover their cars with bushes, whatever. Otherwise, you might want to check the departmental rules and regulations. They might say otherwise. But that would not invalidate a ticket. My advice, slow down. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
