    Death is not a journey, it's a destination. So it's a dead-end street, I guess.

Yes, in this sense: you can come from a wealthy or poor background, any religion, any skin color..death takes us all.

There's no hesistancy or refusal and we all end up the same way: dead.

So its a one way street for death.

Can I have a cookie now, your question, scared me. :) jk

Possibly, haven't seen anyone who has taken it the opposite way.

Yes and no. Yes in that nobody can elude Death forever. It just can't be done. But there is for some of us the promise of an afterlife, and even if you don't believe in that there are people that have near-death experiences to think about.

I had one myself when I was a very little girl. I tripped in the apartment complex where I was living. I was very little at the time probably no more than one and a half. I fell down, hit my head and was found two flights of stairs later by a neighbor who carried me to my parents. I remember my dad being right there, lying horizontally on the step above me, telling me everything was going to be okay and that he loved me.

When I asked my mom about it a year ago she told me that it hadn't happened. And then it occurred to me that while it was happening I had the most bizarre sense of total calm when that person was talking to me. Not even one-year-old attentiveness. Calm.

I think death is what you believe it to be. If you believe you are going to heaven, which is what I believe, it will be a one way street right up to the pearly gates to meet my sweet Jesus. If not? well, you might be out there in limbo wondering around through many streets and never arriving.

Depends on who you talk to I suppose. If you're talking to me...nothing is one way.

Death is not always one way many have died and been brought back to life. but after death does happen the age old questions will be answered, Is there or isn't there life after death. If one really thinks about the outcome, afterlife would be nice then again do I want to hang around day after day, or what time is measured but the fact of being around for all eternity isn't all that appealing. You think it their is a God he will give us a choice? How about all you folks that think he'll toss most everyone in fire. How's that a work for you a person creates the human race and lets you live anywhere from i hour to whatever then toss your ass in fire for ever and ever. I would say that would be one cruel person or is he getting back at you for nailing him to the cross.

    No.

Check out the book "Many Lives Many Masters".

It is incredible and should give solace to all that fear death.
