  • That depends on your definition of "worth" :-) Brand name clothing does not generally have to be of higher quality than generic or no-name clothing. In fact, tests by consumer organizations often show no-name clothes to be more durable and better made than brand name clothes. So a good brand does not generally imply better quality, even though it is of course possible that in specific cases, brand name clothing is better than no-name clothing. There's just no rule to that. However, there's more than just quality. Brand names are one way that people use to express themselves and to advertise themselves to other people. If you wear, say, Lacoste shirts, you're projecting a certain image on yourself. This may change how you're being treated by others, so in the light of this, brand name clothing may very well be worth the higher price, even if it's not better made than generic clothing.
  • Although brands have a name to defend, and therefore tend to deliver a more steady quality, profits on clothing are HUGE. If you have eyes for it, you can save a lot of money. Similar products often come from the same factory. A survey has shown the extra money you pay for popular makes solely goes to advertisment (completing the circle). In a grocerystore that is, any I refuse to believe it's much different in clothes.
  • ya u can tell if someone is rich poor or middle class
  • Yes because they are made with a fine material
  • Well it's helping the economy... So it's worth it to some people.
  • Yes. The quality is fabulous.
  • Only if the brand is very well established Like "Levi" jeans or "Reebok"
  • Not necessarily. I travel in Bali, and there is a lot of stuff coming out of the top factories (eg Nike) that is just as good, but doesn't have the brand on it. Lasts as long, just as comfortable.
  • So is because the quality of the fabric and workmanship is superior but it's not worth AS MUCH as they want for them.
