  • Absolutely! I fostered a 2 1/2 yr old lab that had always been a yard ornament. I made her a house dog immediately. I started by crate training, in this case, she caught on to housebreaking very quickly but house manners took a lil while. I would not expect complete success in less than a year tho. You have to be patient & persistent. Adult dogs seem like they just don't get it for a long time then all of a sudden it seems to click.
  • It is too late, but you can try since it depends how smart it is.
  • I think the best house dog is an outside dog, as when it is time for potty it just doesn't smell right inside.
  • It's NEVER too late to train a dog. Patience is the key.
