How important is it to you to fulfill your promises? Have you ever regretted one you kept?

Many, but I do my best to keep up to the promise.

I have always been of the opinion that a promise is a contract. However, after having kept my promise and to my detriment, I'm finding out that it takes two to Tango and have learned to make good on it only if/when the other person fulfills their end of the bargain

I always try to keep to my promises, i made a promise to myself to keep my promises, so i never make a promise if i know i can't fulfill it.

I only made one promise I didn't keep (and I regret that I didn't keep it) and I learned from it. All but that one I have kept all my promises and then there's one I wish I hadn't kept.

I don't make a promise I don't intend to keep to the best of my ability. And I will work real hard to make it happen. I have not had a regret with any promises, but then again, I do think carefully before giving my word.

It is very important for me to keep my promises, even if the promise turns out to be difficult to keep. I would see it through and remind myself to think before I promise. I must fulfill my promises. This policy I have been following for atleast 40 years now. And I am 55. I don't make promises easily. All promises are made after due considerations. I even ask for time to decide on making a promise. I am happy to say I have never had the misfortune to regret keeping a promise of mine.

I learned early on that, if you don't intend to fulfill your promises, then don't make promises. A person is known by the company he or she keeps and by whether their word is good. To NOT keep a promise is to jeapordize your good name.

It is very important to me because I don't like to make empty promises. I know how it feels to be let down. I haven't regretted a promise, i don't make promises i can't keep.

It is so very important to me that I keep any and all promises that I make. It's not always easy, but it shows what kind of person I am. I don't like to let people down or show people that my word is worthless. Up to this point.... I haven't regretted any promises that I have made.:)

I never give my word if there is the slightest doubt that I will not be able to keep it. I can't sleep peacefully if I break my promise. Once give I keep it and don't regret keeping it.

Its as important as my life to me because it makes me known my ability. of course i have, but the most important one was my Olevel result which i could not make once.

To me it's very important. I don't promise anything unless I know 101% I can keep it. I haven't regretted any of them because I believe that everything good or bad happens for a reason.

Extremely important to fulfill promises as it not only advertised what you are but also allows your conscience to rest in peace after what you promised is carried out. Regret, yes I have of promising something which turned out to be a nightmare to accomplish.

hmmm, dude! fulfilling your promises is like commiting yourself to god, it is so important you are obliged to fulfill it, and in fulfilling it you shouldn't regret anything..

Fulfilling promises are very important to me. I try my VERY best to do so. It's hard to fulfill the promise of not smoking to my girlfriend.. But I love her enough to give it up :)

I must always fulfill my promises. I never used to but once I saw how much it can hurt a person, keeping promises is one of the most important things for me. I don't regret things. Everything happens for a reason; if I didn't keep it, then I wouldn't have learned anything from it.

yes it very important to me.. i promised to not leave my ex fiance and he promised the same.. and i didn't leave.. but sadly 3 wks ago he said "i need space" so u know what that means.. and yes i regretted keeping my promise cuz even now after he told me all i do is cry and wonder why this is happening to me. had i not kept my promise like him .. i would have already moved on and would be happy .
