Have you ever choked and had to had the Heimlich performed on you? What were you eating that you choked on?

Yes, I was choking on steak and my step dad at the time did a Heimlich man. on me I was very close to passing out I couldnt take in any air and I got very light headed it was scary I was 10 at the time.

I have not but I did see it performed on a young man around 18-20 years old when he choked on a piece of steak at a steak house where I was having dinner in Texas some months back. That is the only time in my life I have ever seen anyone choking.

I have'nt choked myself, but have seen it happen twice, quite recently. Once my boyfriend choked on a piece of carrot during dinner at his house. Eventually his dad used the heimlich move and got it out, but it was really scary.
The worst was when my b/f's best mate got a piece of steak stuck in his throat during a pub meal. He ended up turning purple, and there were waitresses screaming for help because they couldn't get it out. It was so scary. Me being a girl, i started crying. Luckily, the chunk of steak eventually came out after my b/f did the heimlich on him. Took about 6 times. He was eating it way too fast. So scary.

Close... Chewing up a cheesy piece of pizza... Swallowed part of it, and the cheese stretched over my windpipe. (It's happened a few times.) Most of times, I've been able to "huff" and get the cheese out of my throat. I remember at least once, though, that I had to reach into my mouth and pull what I swallowed back out by the cheese. (Yuck!)
