I was young in the 70's. I loved The Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family.

Doctor Who (esp. Tom Baker's Doctor), although it ran from 1963 to 1989, was great during the seventies.

I'm not sure when it was, but 'Hill Street Blues" would take some beating. Also, there was a pretty awful show called "WKRP in Cincinatti" that somehow made me laugh.
Sorry if these weren't in the 70s.

Hard to pick a favourite, but on the list would be 'The Rockford Files', 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show', and 'WKRP in Cincinnati'.

"Charlie's Angels" rocked and ruled! Seeing three strong women characters kicking butt every week made me the confident female professional I am today.

Since I wasn't alive in the 70's I can only go on what I've seen on DVD. Fawlty Towers and Citizen Smith are the best ones I've seen from that decade.
