I asked a friend that is in recovery and this is what she said "the high from the opium is gentle, the heroin makes you more groggy" take this with a grain of salt. I have no firsthand experience. I have not done either...

Well, I have tried both. I would say it depends on how you take it. If you smoke both the effects are pretty similar. If you inject the heroin the effect are much more profound, sudden, and intense.

On TV I heard some one say they were getting high in their bedroom. And I imagined them climbing high up in the rafters. I laughed about that! Am I odd for thinking that?
