Campho-phenique is the best for those things.
If you don't have any Orajel or anything similar for dental pain, try wetting a standard tea bag (just enough for it to be damp) and putting that on it. The natural oils in the tea will help with the pain and healing. Another option is to give him ice or something cold, to numb the pain (but nothing with sugar, that will make it worse). The tea bag is the best idea, but the taste might not be something he can stand, because it's not the yummiest thing in the world. I feel for the little guy - I had massive canker sore issues in my teens and know how much of a horror they can be. Give him a hug from me!

You're reading My three year old son has a canker sore... I feel so bad for him cause it's hurting him bad and he keeps asking for a bandaid for it. I want to do something to help ease the pain... any suggestions?
