Well, it depends on how they are treated! I think there is an african tribe where women pierce their nipples and hang small stones in order to look beautiful. They say nipples treated this way can reach 3cm long! The longer the nipple, the prettier the cheek.(?)

It depends on the woman individually. Every woman is different. Edit: The average projection and size of human female nipples is slightly more than 3/8 inches (0.4 in./10mm.) [1]. Pregnancy and nursing tend to increase nipple size somewhat, and this increase may remain permanently thereafter. Pregnancy also increases the pigmentation of the nipples. I have fairly long nipples and have increased their length by using nipples extenders and also from nursing. One of mine actually measures 3/4ths inch when erect.

One of my friends has nipples that are very long and thin -- about 1" long and less than ½" in diameter. Granted she has well-developed breasts and has eleven kids (!) though she didn't breast feed all of them.

If your nipples are pierced, you can use a nipple extender. I think that the intimate few would love the look.
