I know that hot showers are drying to skin, especially during the winter months. I live on the Colorado Front Range (that is, mostly semi-arid mountain desert). But I would rather get a good high powered lotion than cool down my showers in the winter! Brrr!

warm showers open the pores in the skin

You want one that's in between. Long hot showers dry the skin of protective oils Cold showers of any length close the pores tight and trap dirt and sweat Now warm showers, open the pores for proper cleaning without harsh drying. I like to go from a a brief period of hot/warm to cold. Keeps the skin glowing.
