In the classic sense the Hell No is more accurate. In todays times though, the anything goes aspect is becoming easier to wear anything. I am seeing more people doing it, but I would never wear them together, but I am an old-fashioned, more classic minded person and not into trendy things or fads.

  • I think it depends on the pairing. I've seen some outfits that look terrific in a combination of brown and black, but I've also seen some that look terrible.

Ender is back.. And slightly confused.

Seeing as Black goes with anything, I think it's okay to wear it with brown. I have seen some really nice combinations of darker brown and black. I think it depends on the shade and the article of clothing. =)

I think its ok. I have a skirt thats brown and black. For a man, I think It'd be ok to wear a brown suit with a black shirt, but never just color blocks of brown and black i.e. a brown shirt with black jeans or pants, or vice versa, thats tacky..

It's becoming more accepted, just as dark blue and black are becoming more of a regular pairing. One caveat for both: it must be VERY easy to tell the difference in color. If the colors are too close, it can just look like you mismatched them by accident.

The shade of each is important.
So is your hair, eyes, accessories and coloration.
On a beautiful person, it will be great.
On anyone else, show coordination and fashion sense and you'll be FINE.

If you put them together than yes. If you like them together than put togather. If it looks good to your eye than you will feel better for it. Let other people decide for themselves unless you think life should based on a continual polling of the public.

A lot depends what is between the brown boots and the black shirt. But anything can go with black. As long as it is in the same/similar colour tones as the brown.

They can go together. Black is a colour where it pretty much goes with anything. If you are going to use black and brown. I would say to use a lighter brown. If you use a darker brown it won't look that good, in my opinion.

If you use lots of brown with a little bit of black that would be OK. The other way around doesn't work at all and equal amounts remind me of a cow or a doberman for some reason.
