Help answer this question below.

My boyfriend was charged with filing a false police report. He was asked about something he was unsure of and stated that he didn't know. The police then charged him with filing a false police report. Is this lawful?

    No and it doesn't sound truthful either. I think your boyfriend is omitting something from the story.

    The police were looking for someone around his house and asked him was the person in the house. He then stated that he was unsure. The police then obtained the person and charged him with filing a false report. The person was not in the house at first but later entered when he saw the police but my boyfriend was outside in the backyard so he didnt see the person they were looking for enter the house through the front door.

    No but the cops dont care.They look at it like its a production line. But alas we do have a little something on our side its the fact that they have the burdon of proving guilt.
