I take my birth control pill at a different time every day does it still work?

    i have dated women on the pill.....the reason that gal's are supposed to take them at the same time everyday is so that they will remember to take them.....you need to get on schedule......take it when you first wake up in the morning........that will help you remember....take care....brian....

    Not as well as it would if you took it at the same time each day. The hormones in the pill last 24 hours. If you skip around, taking it at different times of the day, it reduces the effectiveness of the drug. Just think, your body normally does this stuff on it's own. If you are not exactly replicating that hormone schedule, you could still ovulate. They always say that birth control is 99.9% effective. When you don't take it on time, its more like 93% effective.
