Help answer this question below.
If it's opinion based, sometimes.
Sometimes I do, But I will usually wait until pretty much everyone that is going to answer has answered.
I do not do it for points but to let others know where I stand on the issue of the question.
I think everyone should answer their own questions for this reason. it can only help the database of knowledge the more information that is submitted.
Not really, it may be a comment but hey whats the point of the "question" if I provide the answer?!
Sometimes if I want to make a point about the other answers posted
Usually in a comment.
Hell yeah !
people do it all the time.
Once or twice on accident went to comment and answered instead
I did a couple right at the beginning but not any more . I do not ask that many questions.

sometimes to get the ball rolling or to explain my question further then yes i will but not all the time
I have been known to do that.
Sometimes I do that.
That is usually if I need to extend the question in a certain case. Otherwise, I don't do it.
Yeah, if
1) I need to clarify what I'm asking, or
2) If the answers are wrong and I find the right answer.
I asked where Evanescence filmed the music video "My Immortal" and someone answered "Seattle" - which I suspected was way wrong. After a little research, I found the correct answer >> "Barcelona", so I answered the question to set the record straight.
I have been reluctant to, but I usually do it through comments to other people's answers. Now that I know it seems so "acceptable", I may do it more.
Yes, when I also make a point about my opinion and sometime when no one answered and I did the research and then post the reply for FYI.
Quite frequently.
i do all the time.
I don't think I ever have, unless I screw up and put a comment in the answer box by mistake.
Only by accident because I have not recognised that the question was mine.
Only a handful from my 3,280 questions.
I have been known to answer a few of mine to get them "in the mix" again. But not very often. +5
I try to to include my answer in my question when ever I can.
sometimes you have to...

Sometimes i do, if they are opinion questions. After all, don't I have an opinion also?
yeah specially when ive talked to friends about things
I don't believe in answering my own questions.
If I knew the answer, why ask it in the first place?
Yeah , loads of times. I've find a funny answer proceeds the actual question in my mind at times or I come across a funny video that can only be an answer.
Only to add details that won't fit in the actual question field. If I need to say more or give "my" answer to my question, I will usually use the comment box to someone else's answer for that.
Yes I have by mistake, I was trying to comment and put it in the wrong place, I hate when that happens.
Yes. I asked this question yesterday. Darryl61 says it's really stupid. I guess I am really stupid.
That would be really stupid.
Sometimes...but most of the time, no.
Only when The question is so dumb that I figure it out right after posting it. So far that's only happened once.
Yes I do
Yes I do, sometimes.
I've done it a couple times, sometimes to list a link for something, sometimes to offer my opinion.
No I haven't yet.
Not yet. But as I hit the stage 50,I might be the only one to stroke my ego!
Sometimes... If I ask a question that I have a good answer for...
Either that or I'll come across an old question that I had asked and not realize I asked it until after I submitted an answer...
sure especially if it is a congratulatory ? I am asking about a good friend of mine.
Do I? I guess I do!
LOL yes.....
I havn't yet!!
Less than 5 times out of the 645 questions I have submitted.
Sometimes. But I USUALLY don't know the answers to my questions. And if I do answer it, I try to just do it after the question (in parenthesis or something.) But most of the time, if I want my opinion out there I just end up commenting one of the answers I get.
Actually no, I don't.
That would mean I'm not seeking an answer.....It's not a real question .
I haven't really, but then again, I haven't asked those kinds of questions. I once added an post to further explain the question for someone.
Only when I am talking to myself lol :)
Isn't that an admission of talking to yourself? A bit mad but yes I do occasionally for various reasons usually of contention to spice up the argument!
When is the last time you heard "That's a good question" but the speaker doesn't answer the question?

How often do you ask a question about a specific thing and receive some responses that are perfect(aarrgghh!) examples of it? Useful?

Do you answer a question right away or do you read everyone else's answer first?
