i do all the time.
-
Quite frequently.
-
Yes, when I also make a point about my opinion and sometime when no one answered and I did the research and then post the reply for FYI.
-
I have been reluctant to, but I usually do it through comments to other people's answers. Now that I know it seems so "acceptable", I may do it more.
-
Usually in a comment.
-
Sometimes if I want to make a point about the other answers posted
-
Not really, it may be a comment but hey whats the point of the "question" if I provide the answer?!
-
I never have...lol
-
Yeah, if 1) I need to clarify what I'm asking, or 2) If the answers are wrong and I find the right answer. I asked where Evanescence filmed the music video "My Immortal" and someone answered "Seattle" - which I suspected was way wrong. After a little research, I found the correct answer >> "Barcelona", so I answered the question to set the record straight.
-
I have on occasion but only on creative answer questions. If it were a fact based question it would be silly to even ask the question if you already knew the answer.
-
1) Generally speaking (outside of AB) I use very often the method of formulating questions to make a better approach to the problems I have to solve. Afterward, I answer these questions. Asking the right questions is sometime already a big part of the answer. 2) I use this figure of speech sometimes for a better presentation of some issues. 3) Talking about AB, I would do so in some particular cases: - asking a riddle, I would eventually provide the answer that I knew - sometimes I wanted to know an answer, but I was not satisfied with the given answers. So I made some further research and eventually found a good answer. I provided this answer - there are also cases where I use the form of the answer to give some complementary information for the question, such as a picture or a video. In this case, it is not a real answer. - Asking for the opinion of others I could eventually give also my own. I would do it in the question, if possible. For instance: "I like cats and dogs; you too?"
-
I do not provide answers, but I comment in my questions.
-
Aye..when the others are inadequate.
-
I do not ask enough questions to answer them myself. I suppose I have no imagination.
-
I never thought about, but I guess we could do that, right?!
-
I did once, when I asked a question I thought was good but no one answered it. I posted one possible answer to see if seeing the Q a second time would get anyone else to answer it. Didn't work. It must just have been a loser of a question.
-
I don't because I already know the right answer.
-
I'm going to give you points now because great minds think alike, I as this question already and they are going to mark this as a duplicate.
-
I only answer my congratulating questions.
-
Sometimes I do that. That is usually if I need to extend the question in a certain case. Otherwise, I don't do it.
-
I would if it were a question about what's your favorite, or do you like this or that, but not if I'm seeking advice, then I wouldn't need to ask the question.
-
I haven't so far, but I guess I should reserve the right to do so in the future.
-
Isn't that an admission of talking to yourself? A bit mad but yes I do occasionally for various reasons usually of contention to spice up the argument!
-
Only when I am talking to myself lol :)
-
If i were you I would check to see if the questions your posting were duplicates...50% or more of your questions are duplicates...and yes I do answer my own questions.
-
No, but I sometimes question my own answers.
-
I have done so on occasion I try not to make it a habit
-
I have been known to do that.
-
If it's opinion based, sometimes.
-
sometimes to get the ball rolling or to explain my question further then yes i will but not all the time
-
Ok. So now i feel less bad doing this ;)
-
I did a couple right at the beginning but not any more . I do not ask that many questions.
-
I did a couple right at the beginning but not any more . I do not ask that many questions.
-
I haven't really, but then again, I haven't asked those kinds of questions. I once added an post to further explain the question for someone.
-
I can't remember a time when I have.
-
Actually no, I don't. That would mean I'm not seeking an answer.....It's not a real question .
-
Once in a while. If I want to add my two cents to it, or if I need to further explain the question, I will. I once did it after a few hours of no answers so that it would appear again in the main page list, making it visible without searching, but that didn't help. I then assumed that no one wanted to answer that question so I continued on elsewhere.
-
Sometimes. But I USUALLY don't know the answers to my questions. And if I do answer it, I try to just do it after the question (in parenthesis or something.) But most of the time, if I want my opinion out there I just end up commenting one of the answers I get.
-
Less than 5 times out of the 645 questions I have submitted.
-
I havn't yet!!
-
LOL yes.....
-
Do I? I guess I do!
-
sure especially if it is a congratulatory ? I am asking about a good friend of mine.
-
Sometimes... If I ask a question that I have a good answer for... Either that or I'll come across an old question that I had asked and not realize I asked it until after I submitted an answer...
-
Not yet. But as I hit the stage 50,I might be the only one to stroke my ego!
-
No I haven't yet.
-
I've done it a couple times, sometimes to list a link for something, sometimes to offer my opinion.
-
Yes I do, sometimes.
-
Yes I do
-
Heck, no. Why would I ask them if I already know the answer?
-
Sometimes
-
Only when The question is so dumb that I figure it out right after posting it. So far that's only happened once.
-
Sometimes...but most of the time, no.
-
Nah, I never answer my own questions.
-
Sometimes if you don't toot your own horn, there's no music.
-
That would be really stupid.
-
Yes. I asked this question yesterday. Darryl61 says it's really stupid. I guess I am really stupid.
-
Yes I have by mistake, I was trying to comment and put it in the wrong place, I hate when that happens.
-
yeah i do on accident if it has 500 or more answers.lol
-
Only to add details that won't fit in the actual question field. If I need to say more or give "my" answer to my question, I will usually use the comment box to someone else's answer for that.
-
Yeah , loads of times. I've find a funny answer proceeds the actual question in my mind at times or I come across a funny video that can only be an answer.
-
Only to clarify. To me, most people that answer their own questions do so in a ploy for points.
-
I don't believe in answering my own questions. If I knew the answer, why ask it in the first place?
-
No, not yet I haven't!
-
Not usually. I have when it's an experience type question and my story wouldn't fit in the comment box or isn't appropriate as a comment.
-
Once or twice on accident went to comment and answered instead
-
people do it all the time.
-
Hell yeah !
-
yeah specially when ive talked to friends about things
-
Sometimes i do, if they are opinion questions. After all, don't I have an opinion also?
-
Sure! It depends on the question, but I have.
-
sometimes you have to... http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/3503745 http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/3484871
-
Yes, for opinion questions I sometimes do.
-
Yep because some people might want me to answer a particular question.
-
I will sometimes bring it up again in the answer spot if no one answers it. If it is something I really want an answer to.
-
Only to clarify or expand. Otherwise it's point-grubbing of a very obvious nature.
-
No I do not although on occasions I have been tempted.
-
Once I did, but no, I usually don't.
-
Yes, some times ...
-
No but i have submitted comments from the answer box by mistake +
-
Sometimes i want to but I don't unless someone asks me for my opinion on the subject. :o)
-
1% possibility!
-
No! Never done it.
-
Sometimes I do, But I will usually wait until pretty much everyone that is going to answer has answered. I do not do it for points but to let others know where I stand on the issue of the question. I think everyone should answer their own questions for this reason. it can only help the database of knowledge the more information that is submitted.
-
I try to to include my answer in my question when ever I can.
-
I have been known to answer a few of mine to get them "in the mix" again. But not very often. +5
-
Only a handful from my 3,280 questions.
-
Only by accident because I have not recognised that the question was mine.
-
I don't think I ever have, unless I screw up and put a comment in the answer box by mistake.
