funny one!
;-)
"It is popularly believed that Pavlov always signaled the occurrence of food by ringing a bell. However, his writings record the use of a wide variety of stimuli, including electric shocks, whistles, metronomes, tuning forks, and a range of visual stimuli, in addition to ringing a bell. Catania cast doubt on whether Pavlov ever actually used a bell in his famous experiments. Littman tentatively attributed the popular imagery to Pavlov’s contemporaries Vladimir Mikhailovich Bekhterev and John B. Watson, until Thomas found several references that unambiguously stated Pavlov did, indeed, use a bell."

Stop it!!! I's salivating already:)
Reminds me of a disgusting dessert invented in New Zealand and named after a dancer. I can't stand meringue. It's not mouth watering as far as I'm concerned.

Very clever..the bell rings, the dog salivates. How about Pavlova? Ballet dancer and dessert! Happy Friday, m'dear! :) ((hugs))
Oh, yeah, the guy with the dogs. He did an experiment where he would ring a bell and feed the dogs. One good day, he realized that the dogs would salivate every time they heard a bell ring. Funny thing is the same thing happens to me when I hear the church bells
Yeah, he was a Russian Doctor, won the Nobel Prize for something.
I know the phrase " Pavlov's Dog" originates with him.
Only in theory :P
